HOW DO I BECOME A PARENTING FROM THE HEART INSTRUCTOR?
We realize each person is unique and brings a variety of skills and experience. We are flexible with each person considering becoming an instructor, however, the integrity of the program will be considered first. Call or email us for more detailed information about becoming part of our team.
 STEP ONE:
Complete the 18 hour Parenting From The Heart course. If you do not live in Southern California you can fly in for each session or you can arrange to support or sponsor a course in your area and we will come to your city. Note: your spouse or significant other will be required to take the class as well at some point during your training. This gives you the opportunity to live what you teach in your own family with grace and ease.
STEP TWO
Email us and request an application. We will email you the application. Simply fill it out and email it back to us. We will review your application and email you an acceptance letter.
STEP THREE:
We require all of our instructors to begin reading the books that we recommend to our parents in the Parenting From The Heart course. A list of books will be provided to you after your application has been accepted. We require that all the books be read within a year of your instructor certification.
STEP FOUR:
Attend and successfully complete the 40 hour Parenting From The Heart training program. We will walk you through the course step by step and provide you with the information necessary to successfully teach the 18 hour parenting course. You will learn how to deliver the course from your heart and learn how to manage your own business. You will also be provided with information about marketing and networking opportunities, as well as tips to support you in your public speaking skills.
YOUR INSTRUCTOR TRAINING CERTIFICATION INVESTMENT INCLUDES:
- A detailed, comprehensive, easy to use, instructor manual
- Ten parenting manuals for your first class
- Ten refrigerator magnets
- Numerous workshop outlines
- Sample fliers to use when advertising your workshops
- Sample graduation diplomas
- Featured on the Parenting From The Heart website
- Team meetings or conference calls for on-going support and training
- On-going support anytime via phone, email, or in person
- Authorization to use the Parenting From The Heart materials
- Your certification investment will cover the first year of annual certification dues
- Six, half hour parent coaching sessions with Ty or Linda
STEP FIVE:
Begin to schedule your first of six parent coaching sessions with Linda or Ty. They will assist you with integrating your newly acquired skills successfully with your own children. Experiencing success within your own family creates an opportunity for you to live what you teach and ensures that you have a meaningful, high quality, instructor experience in the classroom!
STEP SIX:
Pass the Parenting From The Heart instructor certification oral testing process.
STEP SEVEN:
Receive your Parenting From The Heart instructor certificate and begin teaching your own courses.
HOW DO I REMAIN CERTIFIED AFTER MY TRAINING IS COMPLETE?
- Pay the annual re-certification fee of $200 (Your first year fee is included with your training investment)
- Attend 50% of the team meetings via phone or in person
- Purchase the course parenting manuals from Parenting From The Heart
- Attend the annual instructor training day
WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT FOR THE INSTRUCTOR TRAINING?
The investment for the 40 hour Parenting From The Heart instructor training is $2,300.00. A $1,000 deposit is required to secure your training dates and the remaining balance is due on your first day of training.
